Genesis Chapter 5 is one of those chapters that everybody hates. It's a genealogy chapter. A "so and so begat so and so" chapter. But this particular chapter also houses a secret. A "for those with ears to hear" secret.
Since I am a blabber mouth and since everyone knows that I can't keep a secret I am spilling.
If you translate all of the names in this chapter from Hebrew to English they form a sentence. An actual sentence that prophesies of the coming of our Savior. It says, " God has appointed that mortal man shall sorrow, but the blessed God will come down teaching that his death shall bring strength and comfort."
Having discovered this and being totally enthralled I decided to do the same thing with my family's names. Umm...not quite the same result.
Our names make up a sentence. Just not a very spiritual or uplifting one. So here it is: our family sentence. Someday, if you are really bored and you have tired of chattering with your imaginary friend, try it!
So here it is. Our family sentence: A beloved Christian with curly hair who tans hides is protected by a guard with a mis-shapen head who maintains the parks and brings joy to all.
Mis-shapen head? Really? Did I actually give that name to my child and expect her to have a normal life. Sheesh! What was I thinking?
So, which lucky girl is it?
ReplyDeleteMy sweet Kennedy, poor girl. I guess if it was good enough for the United States to have a President "Mis-shapen Head" it is good enough for us.
